Engagement rings have various cuts in diamonds. Some of these cuts are explained below:

Round is the most fashionable style for rings. Round goes with any setting and is thought to be the finest shape to exhibit the stone’s brightness.
A square diamond in princess cut looks bigger than other shaped diamonds of the same karat.
Emerald cut i.e. the rectangular diamond is considered the most refined of all the shapes that look just beautiful.
Although it’s also round, marquis looks longer than a round or oval cut. It is pointed at the two ends.
The pear shape is rounded almost at the top but pierced at the base. Normally, it doesn’t look very good as a single stone set into a ring. However, in other types of jewelry such as necklaces or earrings, pear shapes look simply marvelous.
Similar to round cut, oval looks bigger due to its shape. This shape works best with larger stones.
Worry not if you don’t know what type of ring to purchase. Doing some inquiries in advance helps. Do not be afraid to ask your jeweler if you have any questions or aren’t sure which diamond to choose for your engagement ring.
